The west African regional block, ECOWAS, has suspended Mali after the military took over in a second Coup in one year.

The military took over after a new cabinet was named which Excluded two key military Generals.

ECOWAS leaders met in Accra, Ghana, on Sunday to deliberate on the situation in Mali. However, they did not impose sanctions on the country.

During the last coup, ECOWAS stopped criss border financial flows with Mali, among other measures.
