The first free orthopaedic paediatric hospital in Zimbabwe has opened its doors to the community recording its first ever successful operation.

KidsOR in partnership with Cure International, inc will be treating children from the ages of 0 to 18 years with severe conditions for free.

Mrs Beverly Kadzombe’s nephew Sean was involved in an accident which left his right leg seriously injured.

Since then she has been traveling between Zimbabwe and South Africa seeking corrective surgery, but it all amounted to nothing as she could not afford the exorbitant fees which were being charged.

The free orthopedic paediatric hospital which is a partnership between the Ministry of Health and Child Care and Cure Children’s Hospital conducted a successful operation.

The only training school for nurses to undergo a two year advanced orthopedic nursing diploma in Zimbabwe has also started admitting students.
