A court in Malawi has convicted an accountant for duping prophet Shephered Bushiri 5 million million kwacha.
He had paid for booking Maula Stadium in Malawi for overnight prayers on the 31st of December 2020.
He was convicted of theft by resident magistrate Florence, his bail has been revoked, and has since been reminded at prison pending sentencing on March 23 2021.
The theft came to light when government had wanted to refund the money back to prophet Shephered Bushiri.
Bushiri was denied the National Stadium in Malawi, after the Malawian government rejected by citing that an Inspector of confederation of African football (CAF) was touring the stadium on the same night, and also to prevent the scourge of the COVID-19 pandemic.
