Popular Zimbabwean Prophet, Jay Israel (30), has been transferred from police cells to Johannesburg Prison (Sun City), after he was denied bail on Thursday.
He will appear in court on Wednesday, where he will face further charges.
Jay Israel is facing up to 5 years in prison before he is deported to his native Zimbabwe.
Former members of Jay Israel ‘s church in East London are expected to bring forward more evidence of his criminal activities.
He was arrested last week after he was found in possession of a fake work permit in his passport.
Jay Israel, whose real name is Jacob Dube, is also facing charges of fraud after his company, Jay Israel Holdings, was used to scam unsuspecting ordinary people.
The company is registered in the name of other people and not Jay Israel himself.
