Thompson Dondo was a Zimbabwean entrepreneur and the CEO of Impala Car Rental which he founded in 2007.

Kanganwirai Thompson Dondo was born in February 1972 in Gweru however he grew up in Chivhu.

Growing up life was not easy, Dondo worked for a number of supermarkets before he was became famous for being the CEO of Impala Car Rental.

He was also a former chairman of the now-defunct Chitungwiza based Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League team Kiglon Football Club.

In 1999 Dondo opened a clinic however soon closed it after the government banned it and he relocated to Inyanga.

He once worked as a laundry man at a nursing home in the United Kingdom before going back home to start his business.

He admitted getting arrested several times for violating UK immigration rules before the homecoming trip in 2006.

Dondo died of renal failure in the early hours of the 2nd of January 2021.

He is survived by his wife Matirasa Dondo, his three children, Ruvarashe, Mudiwa and Ngonidzashe popularly known as King 98.
