Jackline is a 36 year old businesswoman who runs a barber shop in Kenya’s capital, Nairobi.
She confessed during an interview that she is into p-rostitution, HIV positive and that she has infected multiple men with the virus.
Her troubles started when her mother left Kenya to find a job in USA. She was left under the care of her aunt who mistreated her.
She then started staying with her sisters’s child and her other aunt who is mentally ill. With no support she had to find a way to put food on the table and provide for her family.
As a teenager men took advantage of her poverty and lured her into having s_ex with them in exchange for food and money.
In order to keep out of poverty, Jackline found herself into p-rostitution. She had no one to run to since her entire family hated her.
Jackline started having multiple relationships with sugar daddies who gave her money to survive.
After dropping out of school, she tried to commit suicide on many accounts because everyone was mistreating her.
Jackline revealed that she found out that she had contracted HIV at the age 18. She is now 36 years old and she has never stopped being a p-rostitute.
In addition to that, she said she does not use protection with her clients. Even after revealing her status, she said men are still approaching her.
She said the reason why it took so long to disclose her HIV status was that she feared losing her clients and that she did not want her relationships to end.
Jackline also revealed that she is emotionally depressed. She even said that she is ready to die because she has had enough.
Her advise is that those who engage in sexual intercourse must always use protection. She also advised that p-rostitution does not pay and it is not worth engaging in.
