Four truck drivers have so far died on the South African side of the Beitbridge Border since a 14km que started forming this week.

Thid was conformed by the CEO of the Road Freight Association, Gavin Kelly , who spoke to eNCA this afternoon.

Kelly said the drivers are dying from high temperatures and lack of water and food as they can not leave their trucks.

He said drivers are afraid that if they leave their trucks their cargo will be stolen and they will also lose their space in the queue.

Queues have formed since last week due to testing requirements and the build up of traffic as many people start traveling to Zimbabwe for the Christmas holiday.
