Bushiri’s multi-millionaire co-accused, Willah Mudolo, was found with three cellphones in his prison cell.

In one of the cellphones, prison officials at Kgosi Mampuru prison found arrangements being made to bribe court officials.

Other revelations in court were that :

Mudolo tried to flee to Dubai from the OR Tambo International Airport on the 21st of September, 13th of October and 16th of October. He was only stopped because police systems alerted Investigators via sms.

Mudolo lied that he was legally married to Zethu Mudolo in the UK when there is no documentary evidence of the marriage.

Zambian, Mudolo has no legal status in South Africa and is in the country illegally.

Mudolo uses two passports, one which shows he was born in 1978 and another that shows he was born in 1980.

Mudolo is offering his R23 Million Sandhurst Mansion as security if he is granted bail.

The state is opposing bail citing his previous attempts to flee, that he has access to loads of cash and the fact that Bushiri fled even though he had the same bail conditions.
