As the fall out from Bushiri’s escape from South Africa continues, the department of education has moved to shut down the Shephered Bushiri University.
The department says the university is operating illegally and its courses do not meet the required standards, accusing the university of being bogus.
Students complained that the SB University was only teaching one course, Theology, out of the advertised 8 courses.
When investigators went to the university, they found that the University was not offering any courses such as Accounting and Business Administration.
The allegations were first raised in 2017 and at the time, the department said they were investigating the university.
