Den Moyo, the MDC-T USA Chairman, has called upon MDC leaders who have shown interest in contesting in the provincial nominations to abandon the divisive exercise and instead choose a leader among themselves who will take over unopposed.

Moyo said the MDC Alliance of Nelson Chamisa is using the provincial nominations to infiltrate the party and to sow divisions and confusion.

Bhebhe said as Khuphe is the most senior member of the MDC, with more clout and a national support base, she must be allowed to run  unopposed.

Speaking on the Bulawayo provincial nominations, Moyo said there will be a National Council meeting on Sartuday during which decisive action will be taken against Abednico Bhebe.

Moyo said Khuphe won the Buulawayo nominations with 59 votes,  Bhebhe had 44 and Mwonzora had 15.

Moyo said Bhebhe is no longer a member of the MDC as he was suspended. He wondered how Bhebhe ended up as one of the candidates at the Bulawayo provincial nominations.
