ZANU PF director of Information Tafadzwa Mugwadi says Cyril Ramaphosa’s special envoy to Zimbabwe did not meet with MDC Alliance because the party is not important enough to discuss state matters.

In an interview with SABC, Mugwadi said the envoy only met with Emmerson Mnangagwa because they had to hear about Zimbabwe’s situation from the head of state hence if MDC wants to meet the envoy they schedule their own meetings.

Mugwadi said Mnangagwa did not stop the envoy from meeting other stakeholders however they chose to meet the ones more important with the requisite information about Zimbabwe.

Mugwadi refused to shed light on the outcome of the meeting between Emmerson Mnangagwa and Cyril Ramaphosa’s special envoy.

He said the coming of the envoy helped clear the air regarding the situation in Zimbabwe on human rights violations however he is not the rightful person to speak about the issue.

Mugwadi said there are social media groups being paid by Zimbabwe’s enemies to vilify the country and undermine the office of the president and cause despondency however Zimbabwe is a peace loving nation.
