The Kingdom of Lesotho has reverted to a hard lockdown starting Sunday midnight after the country registered 6 deaths, 359 active cases and at least 69 recoveries.

The Prime Minister Dr. Moeketsi Majoro said the Newly Structured National COVID-19 Secretariat  (NACOSEC) has developed comprehensive guidelines to control the rapid growth in the infection rate.

Rapelang Radebe of SABC news said that Lesotho is not prepared enough to deal with the increased Covid 19 infection rate in terms of health facilities and equipment.

He said that some infected people had to go out of the Covid 19 health facilities and go to outsource medical assistance since the government set up facilities are sub standard.

Rapelang said that the government has funds to establish proper Covid 19 facilities but it has not done anything tangible even after donations were made.
