ACTING ZANU PF Deputy Secretary for youth affairs Tendai Chirau has vowed to crush the planned 31 July National Protest to unconstitutionally remove Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Addressing ZANU PF Youth League, Chirau said party members will not entertain any form of optimism which is in many predictable ways similar to the coordinated anarchy of 1 August 2018 and January 2019.

He said ZANU PF membership should use the day 31 July as a day to celebrate victory of the party in 2018 in full party regalia.

Referring to the opposition, Chirau said some elements in the lunatic fringe still find pleasure in engaging in the distractive hooliganism disguised as demonstrations with particular reference to fake protest planned for the 31st of July.

He said ZANU PF is double aware that these attempts to cause mayhem are part of a broader sponsored regime change strategy that has in the past yielded nothing but violence.

Chirau said the Zanupf youth league is prepared to stand in resolute defense of legitimate interest in defense of national bread winners and their independence who are being threatened by disruptive, senseless violence and injury.

Chirau said the only acceptable path to political power in Zimbabwe is through elections hence in 2018 the voice of the majority spoke in favour of Mnangagwa running the country until 2023.
