MOVEMENT For Democratic Change Alliance spokesperson Fadzayi Mahere says Joanna Mamombe, Cecilia Chimbiri and Netsai Marova were on Friday granted $10 000 bail on charges of lying to the police and faking abduction.
This comes after they were denied bail last week pending trial by Harare magistrate Ms Bianca Makwande on the grounds that they had the propensity to commit similar offences.
The trio was order to each pay $10,000 bail, report to ZRP 3 times a week, to hand in passports, not to interfere with witnesses, to reside at given addresses, they’re not permitted to communicate with media or use social media.
Meanwhile, Nelson Chamisa went to Chikubi where the trio was imprisoned to welcome the girls.
