More details have emerged over why Fungai Nyamadzawo (42), a Durban based Zimbabwean Woman, killed her six year old daughter, Alexia Nyamadzawo.
She appeared briefly at the Umhali Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday where she was charged with murder, defeating the ends of justice, kidnapping and perjury.
The arrest follows social media speculation that surfaced earlier this week linking Nyamadzawo to the crime.
Nyamadzawo is said to have foughtvwith her husband and attacked him with a walking stick leading to his hospitalisation.
After the heated fight with the husband, Fungai is said to have killed her own daughter and cut her into pieces, the body of the missing child was later located in a sugar cane field in Riet Valley,

The now incarcerated Fungai is wife to Charlton Nyamadzawo, a son to former Kwekwe mayor, Reason Nyamadzawo.
Kwekwe residents took to social media to express their outrage over the grisly murder of the child.
