Mthuli Ncube has revealed that Zimbabwe has signed contracts with Ukraine and Mexico and maize will soon start arriving in the country. Ncube was speaking to Bloomberg TV on the sidelines of the Davos.

On Cash, Ncube said the high inflation in Zimbabwe is as a result of liberalizing the currency. He said the country will be introducing high denomination not $10, $20 and $50 notes

Ncube says a devastating drought has led to the failure of crops across Zimbabwe.

Ships are delivering in Beira, South Africa and Tanzania and delivering by trucks and rail.

Zimbabwe is also subsidizing maize meal so that citizens can afford.

On inflation, Ncube said the inflation figures at 500% annually and 17% month on month can be stabilised, and it can go down.
