Zimbabwe Hospital Doctors Association (ZHDA) Acting President doctor Peter Magombeyi made it clear that doctors have no case to answer .
Doctor Magombeyi said that there is no evidence to believe that doctors have committed an act of misconduct. The government has invited doctors to appear before disciplinary hearings scheduled 29 October 2019.
Doctor Magombeyi added that doctors will not attend the disciplinary hearings scheduled for 29 October 2019 because they are incapacitated.
The latest development from both government and doctors is likely to increase more pressure on the health system .
The government is not committed to end the doctors strike as they fail to come up with concrete solution which has almost disabled Zimbabwe’ s health system .The government has only come up with threats rather than solutions to the striking doctors.
