The judgement on Nelson Chamisa presidency against Thokozani Khupe has been deferred to a later date.
Advocate Mpofu was representing the MDC and he argued that the constitution of the MDC provided for more than one vice president and as such Nelson Chamisa is as much able to become acting president as Thokozani Khupe.
Professor Madhuku argues that Thokozani Khupe was the acting president when Tsvangirai died , therefore she is the one who was supposed to take over the presidency of the party.
In it’s wisdom, the Constitutional court decided to adjourn the court and deferr the judgement to a later date.
