Members of the ED Mnangagwa Faction of ZANU PF have been calling for the resignation of General Chiwenga on health grounds.
Unnamed memberd of ZANU PF have expressed concern that such a senior member of the government can not be away for so long.
There has been a push to appoint Oppah Muchinguri who is currently acting in the absense of General Chiwenga.
However, this is likely to be met with resistance from the military who will immediately lose their influence if a non military person is appointed.
