The Government of Zimbabwe through the Ministry of Information has lied that vendor who was beaten and remanded by police until dying in custody was attended to by doctors.
The ministry reports that investigation into the death of the man whom they decide to identify as “individual” have been launched.
The vendor was reportedly beaten by police with other 11 vendors who where arrested.
The ZLHR is on record with evidence of applications to get the victim attended to by medical professionals but the application was turned down.
The police and government has been castigated for inhuman treatment to the remanded prisoners.
