The Bulawayo city council has released a list of people who have failed to pay rates for their properties in the city of kings.

Top on the list is former vice president’ s wife Lourinda Mpoko, former minister of water and water resources Samuel Sipepa Nkomo and former reserve bank governor Gedion Gono.

The defaulters have been served with notices 30 day notices to pay or else lose those properties.

Part of the notice read:

“Notice is hereby given to the owners of the above listed properties to come forward and make necessary payments to council within the next 30 days. Failure to do so will result in council disposing of the said properties in terms of Section 5 of the Title Registration and Derelict Lands Act, Chapter 20:20”

Mrs Mphoko is set to lose property on stand number 14440 Selbourne Park while Mr Sipepa-Nkomo will lose 347 Mahatshula stand. It was not clear which property Gono is set to loose.

Among those who are set to lose are ordinary Zimbabweans and other top brass politicians .

Zimbabwean economy has gone down forcing investors to abandon their dreams of investing in the country. Fuel prices have skyrocketed to unimaginable levels. Production is not possible. Most businesses have closed in Bulawayo due to ZANU PF corruption and misrule.
