The Harare Municipal Undertaking Employee Party has submitted a notice of incapacitation to the Harare Mayor Herbet Gomba and the City fathers seeking the adjustment of their current salaries.

Prevailing economic challenges have seen the Zanu PF led governments being served with a number of letters of incapacitation and strikes in the past weeks.

The notice comes hours after the RTAZ announced their proposed strike set for the 14 October this year.
The party based their notice on Section 65 of the Constitution which states that employess have a right to safe labour practices and to be paid a reasonable wages.

A few months ago, municipal workers proposed a basic salary raise of $2000 as their current wages have been eroded by inflation.
