The Health Services Board which is currently receiving a ‘bountiful’ of allowances has been lambasted over their decision to take the striking doctors to court after their demand for better wages.

The board members are allegedly receiving house allowances of US$740, representation allowance of US$1 055, vehicles for both personal and official use during their contracts, amongst many allowances in USD.

In a press statement released last week , government said they were appalled by the Zimbabwe Hospital Doctors Association (ZHDA) decision to walk out of the negotiating table after they had presented a 60 percent allowance, a raise which could not capacitate the doctors in prevailing economic challenges.

Some of the board members are Dr P. L Sikosana, Dr Paulinus Sikosana and Mrs Sefelipelo Bhebhe.
