The late Joshua Nkomo’s son Sibangalizwe has requested for exhumation and reburial of his father’s body .
This came after Grace Mugabe chose Kutama as her husband’s burial place over National Heroes Acre .
Sibangalizwe said his father had told him that he wanted to be buried at his homestead but due to the certain power of governance above him they chose heroes acre over his homestead.
He went on to say that his family also wishes to exhume Nkomo’s wife who was also buried at Heroes Acre next to him in 2003.
Nkomo said reburial is set to be in Kezi Matebeleland South.
Nkomo said he is likely to face resistance from Emmerson Mnangagwa’s government officials.
