With four years left to the Presidential Elections, the MDC is still failing to take control of the rural electorate. The MDC has lost with a huge margin to Zanu Pf in Zaka East bi-elections. The celebrations of the win in Glen View South has been short lived.

If MDC fails to seize the rural vote now, it will not be able to do so in the Presidential elections.

Hopewell Chin’ono says “Dear MDC, make yourselves electable in the rural areas. You will not win exclusively on account of ED incompetence or using excuses daily. You must offer an alternative program of action. MDC will never govern Zimbabwe unless it starts winning from the rural areas. ZANU PF is a rural party”

Of course Zanu Pf is mocked for being a rural party, but that’s what makes it win, because the majority is in the rural areas.
