General Chiwenga has sent a condolence message to the family of Major General Trust Mugoba.

CONDOLENCE MESSAGE BY GENERAL (RETIRED) DR. C. G. D. N. CHIWENGA, HONOURABLE VICE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF ZIMBABWE, ON THE UNTIMELY PASSING AWAY OF MAJOR GENERAL TRUST MUGOBA.
I am deeply saddened and shocked by the news of the untimely passing on of Major General Trust Mugoba, on 6 September 2019.
General Mugoba was among the first group of officers to join the Special Forces from the ex-combatants at independence. Whilst at Parachute Regiment, he was involved in many campaigns including Mozambique, Operation Sovereign Legitimacy in the Democratic Republic of Congo and was currently deployed in Ethiopia on an African Union Mission. As Director General Policy at the Zimbabwe Defence Forces Headquarters, the General was heavily involved in setting up the SADC Organ on Politics, Defence and Security.
As I write from China, on behalf of my Office and indeed on my own behalf, I wish to extend my heartfelt condolences to his beloved family, His Excellency the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, Cde E. D. Mnangagwa and the nation at large.
