Wicknell Chivayo has filed an urgent application in Zimbabwe’s High Court to deny that a marriage exists – the very claim used to freeze his assets.
-
He admits the South African High Court’s asset freeze is “devastating” his operations.
-
The freeze has crippled his businesses – they can’t pay basic costs like salaries, rent, or taxes.
-
A private jet owned by his companies has been grounded due to the South African order.
-
He says the freeze makes it impossible to pay court-ordered child support, putting him at risk of contempt of court.
-
He wants the Zimbabwe court to call the respondent’s claims “frivolous and vexatious” – hoping to remove the legal basis for the South African freeze.
-
This urgent filing proves the leaked FIC report is not just “noise” – it’s the real source of pressure.
-
Filing date: May 6, 2026 – showing he is desperate to unlock his funds before his businesses and reputation collapse completely.

Historic surgery at Parirenyatwa Hospital
Paediatric surgeons Drs. Muparadzi and Moyo performed the hospital’s first combined operation: saving one kidney while removing the other in a child with Wilms tumor (cancer in both kidneys – usually it affects only one). The child is now cancer-free and has enough healthy kidney tissue to live without dialysis. Thanks to the surgical team, anaesthetists, nursing staff, and @KidsOperating for equipping the children’s theatre.
