Comedienne and socialite Mai TT has come out in defense of entertainer Captain Britain, urging Zimbabweans not to judge him harshly for his music.
Posting on social media, Mai TT said Captain Britain’s art should be seen primarily as humor meant to ease people’s burdens rather than serious musical work.
“My fellow Zimbabweans I know hamude zvinhu zvisina basa but on this guy to me I take it as humor, his music is just to make us laugh our sorrows away. I believe when they invite him to shows it’s not like they will be taking him as a serious artist but as someone who is just there to make you laugh and forget your stresses. In return momutema nemacan, I honestly think it’s unfair. Let us treat each other with kindness and zvimwe zvinhu ngatisazvitore serious 🧐. Captain Britain ndevekungotisekesa, toseka ngatisavateme nemacan.”

She encouraged people to embrace Captain Britain’s work for the joy it brings, adding“From me to you Captain Britain, keep making us laugh. Some of us enjoy what you do without being too serious.”
Her remarks come amid social media criticism of Captain Britain’s performances, with some dismissing his work as lacking artistic merit.
