Zimbabwean musician Shone has described his participation in Coldplay’s historic Music of the Spheres world tour as nothing short of a fairytale.
Shone joined the British supergroup on the Gulf leg of the tour, went on to perform at massive shows in India, and wrapped up with the grand finale in the United Kingdom.
“Coldplay’s Music Of The Spheres Tour has come to an end, and I can only say thank you. Sharing the stage for We Pray was something I had prayed for,” he said. He also paid tribute to singer Elyanna for her “angelic vocals and energy” during their shared performances.
During the tour, Shone had the rare experience of performing before football legend Lionel Messi and even shot his first music video in India with Coldplay. He was joined on stage by DJ Tatenda LXA, who has worked with Afro Nation, Legendary Music, and collaborated with top local stars including Bagga, Kikky Bad***, and Crooger.
Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres is officially the highest-attended tour in history, with more than 12.3 million fans across 43 countries since its launch in March 2022.
Frontman Chris Martin recently revealed that the tour is set to continue with 138 more shows, eventually totaling 360 performances, aligning with its celestial theme.
The group has consistently rotated supporting acts, with artists such as American singer H.E.R. and now Shone, putting Zimbabwe firmly on the global entertainment map.
