Notes
The FLAIR Summit has not made a new announcement specifically about Auxillia Mnangagwa recently, but her participation and role have been highly controversial and widely reported. She is listed as a keynote speaker and patron-elect of the FLAIR Summit scheduled for June 17-19, 2025, in London, where she was expected to speak on women’s empowerment and resilience. However, her involvement has sparked significant backlash from Zimbabwean diaspora communities in the UK, who have protested her inclusion due to her association with the ruling Zanu-PF party and Zimbabwe’s poor human rights record under her husband’s administration. An emergency meeting by the summit organizers was planned to decide whether she should remain part of the event amid these concerns. Despite the protests, the official FLAIR Summit website still lists her as patron-elect and a committed supporter of the summit’s goals.
