Posts promoting the alleged revolutionary microgrid technology developed by local inventor, Maxwell Sangulani Chikumbutso, have been removed from the social media accounts of President Emmerson Mnangagwa, government spokesperson Nick Mangwana, and the Ministry of Information, Publicity, and Broadcasting.
The deleted posts initially garnered significant attention with the idea that Chikumbutso’s innovations.
Maxwell Sangulani Chikumbutso stands accused of importing a vehicle and presenting it to President Emmerson Mnangagwa as an original electric model, sparking controversy and concerns over the integrity of government interactions with private enterprises.
Reports allege that Chikumbutso purchased a vehicle that closely resembles the Kaiyi X3 Pro EV and presented it to Mnangagwa at the State House, claiming it was a unique electric model.
