In a  heartfelt open letter, Ultimatum SA star, Ntateko Kay Mahange shared details regarding his  tumultuous relationship with his child and its mother, Khanya.

He shared how he looked forward to being a father and chose to stand by her during the pregnancy. He said after watching her consume dangerous substances while pregnant he knew he had to stick around to make sure the baby was safe.

He said he made the choice to make her feel like he was on her side until he had custody. He said that he was very concerned and couldn’t ignore her volatile behavior, adding that she attacked and him on several occasions. He shared that after giving birth, things didn’t improve.

Ntateko recounts a particularly distressing incident that impacted his family dynamics. “After Qhawe’s birth, things did not improve. Her temper became more volatile, and she often resorted to violence,” he wrote, detailing an altercation that involved a physical confrontation. He highlights that while his own safety was a concern, the well-being of his son remained his primary focus.

“I do not wish to seek sympathy or harm to my children’s mother, but I speak sincerely as a father who deeply loves his children,” he said.

He said that he gathered evidence of these incidents including medical records, photographs and testimonials not to humiliate Khanya to demonstrate to the court that he could take care of their son.
