The Lusaka High Court has handed down a life sentence to former Zambia Army lieutenant and lawyer Nigel Mwaba for the brutal murder of renowned doctor Tasilo Tembo in 2020.
The court’s decision reflects the gravity of the crime, which has sent shockwaves through the community.
Dr. Tembo, a former ministry of health deputy spokesperson, was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend, Mwaba between October 25 and October 26 in 2020.
Authorities later discovered her remains buried in a shallow grave in the Mikango area, leading to a thorough investigation that ultimately implicated Mwaba.
