The couple had sought counselling from their church leader, Apostle Chikaka, just hours before their deaths.

A neighbour alleged that Nyasha, a bodybuilder, turned violent after finding “love messages” on Olga’s cellphone.

He allegedly confronted and severely beat the suspected lover, who was hospitalized.

He then allegedly turned his anger on Olga.

The neighbour reported seeing Nyasha beating Olga on Tuesday evening and questioning her about the alleged lover.

Relatives noted unresolved issues over lobola, claiming Nyasha had not paid it despite living with Olga for nine years.
