In recent events Zimbabwean Journalist Lance Guma has shown his dissatisfaction towards Zimbabweans.
Lance ridiculed Zimbabwean for judging artist who are willingly received gifts from Wicknel stating that what exactly have they done for those who didn’t
He highlighted how Mukanya or Thomas Mapfumo had been praised for refusing Wicknel’s gift totaling US$500 000 and 6months later his Domboshava home was burnt down.
Guma started a go fund me for Mapfumo yet people have remained silent but as soon another artist receive a gift they are quick to scrutinize them.
“where then do we get the moral authority to lecture Baba and Mai Charamba, Fantan,Jah Prayzah…. Are we sending a message that we want to see artist suffer and would rather laugh at them than help them?” He wrote.
Go fund me campaign for Thomas Mapfumo has only raised £85 to expected £5000.
