Opposition leader, Job Sikhala has slammed the CCC mayors who attended the Hebert Chitepo School of Ideology 2 day course. This comes after all CCC Mayors attended the ZANU-PF propaganda event.
Sikhala said the mayors attended the event for money:
There are more important things in life than money and power. No amount of silver and gold should persuade you to sacrifice your values and principles to be dragged to the Herbert Chitepo School of Ideology, to be brainwashed with some redundant ideology. The ideology that is anti-people, promotion of the persecution of those in disagreement with that moribund ideology and intolerance of opponents of the establishment!!!
Writing on X, Sikhala said:
We should not be against the choices that people make in life. It is their democratic right to choose the path they want to take. I am against the pretentious veneer to be on the side of the mass democratic struggle when your heart and soul are already with the oppressor. Come out in the open, and no one will bother you. I will never pretend to be what I am not. I do what makes my heart and soul happy. If you are now ZANU PF, don’t shy away from the truth of what you are. There’s nothing new about that. There are so many people whom we were together in the mass democratic struggle, such as Blessing Chebundo, Tongai Matutu, and many others who did not hide where their newfound love was. No one ever talked about them or bothered about them. What is wrong is to still pretend to be with the masses when you have already gone with the tyrant. This Herbert Chitepo School of Ideology training is in bad taste!!!
