ANC leader Cyril Ramaphosa will be serving his second term after he was  re-elected as the country’s President.

Polls were held in parliament which saw Ramaphosa gun 283 votes, over Malema who got 44.

In his victory speech, the president-elect gave thanks to MPs and accepted the challenge of the next five years.

“I am humbled and honoured that members of the National Assembly have, through their votes, decided to elect me to be president of the Republic of South Africa. Thank you very much,” said Ramaphosa.
