The Zimbabwe National Road Authority (ZINARA) has confirmed losing US$74,500 to car dealer Duly’s Motors in 2017.

ZINARA is said to have paid for vehicles that were not delivered, citing a bank transfer issue that resulted in a loss of value.

The authority also lost money on a transformer that was not delivered due to a supplier that could not be located.

The Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Public Accounts has tasked ZINARA to address corporate governance and irregularities, including procurement violations and financial mismanagement.
