Liberation war veteran Colonel (Retired) Kenny Ridzai Mabuya, who died on Tuesday, has been declared a national hero.
Mabuya, whose Chimurenga name was Kenny Ridzai, died at West End Hospital in Harare after a short illness.
Mabuya will be buried at the national shrine on Wednesday 31 January.
Last Saturday, Vice President Kembo Mohadi visited him at West Hospital.
The national hero status is in recognition of the role he played during the liberation struggle
