Newsday reports that Prophet Walter Magaya has been taken to court after he received USD3 Million from Israeli investors for a gold mining deal but disappeared with the money.
Magaya received the money in early 2022 and was supposed to use two of his properties as security. However, Magaya did not start operations at the two mines and did not register mortgage bonds on the two properties.
The complainant in the case is Ambassador Ronny Aharon Musan Levi, the Israeli consul to Zimbabwe.
