Botswana President Mokgweetsi E. K. Masisi is in Namibia to commemorate the 20th sub-regional World Children’s day.

The World Children’s Day celebrations held at coastal town of Walvis Bay aims to highlight progress being made towards the realization and promotion of the rights of children.

World Children’s Day was first established in 1954 as Universal Children’s Day and is celebrated on 20th November each year.

This year the World Children’s Day was held under the theme “Renewing Our Promise for Children’s Rights”
