An MSU third year student, Troy Nyangombe (19) died in an accident in Chipinge with two other teenagers, Rutendo Chikwanda (19) and Joyline Paraffin (18) after they were involved in an accident with a friend, Nyasha Brandon Jani, who had taken his mother’s car on a joyride after a trip to the car wash.

The driver, Jani, Joseph Mulambo and Nothando Beto are admitted at the Victoria Chitepo Provincial Hospital.

Jani lost control of his mother’s Toyota Axio and crashed into the side of the Chipinge Southdown road, killing his young friends at 2pm on Monday.

Troy Nyangombe was a third year student at the MSU on attachement at the Ministry of Youths

Parents of the teenagers denied viral reports that the teenagers were drunk.

Troy was on attachment at the Ministry of Youths, Sports, Arts and Recreation for the whole of 2023 and was set to complete his fourth year studies in 2024.

Joyline Paraffin was a form 6 student in the middle of writing her exams

Joyline was a form six student at Gaza High School.
