The Herald reports that the State withdrew Felistus Murata popularly known as Mai Tt’s fraud charges yesterday.
The case was withdrawn before Harare magistrate Appollonia Marutya.
This comes after it was established that she had paid back the complainant’s money amounting to US$10 000.
Allegations were that in September 2022, at corner Second Street and Speke Avenue in Harare, Mai TT misrepresented to Rachel Mhuka that she was in need of US$10 000 for her business.
She said she would surrender Mhuka her Mercedes Benz vehicle, registration number AFF9759, as surety for the loan which she undertook to pay back by 30 November 2022.
