Newsroom Africa journalist Audrey Chimwanda is in Zimbabwe to cover up 2023 elections news.
She reported that all political parties are geared up for the upcoming elections.
Audrey said she managed to speak to opposition president Advocate Nelson Chamisa today as he held his rally in Bulawayo’s WhiteCity Stadium.
Chimwanda explained that Chamisa promised that when he comes into power he will make sure to resolve the issue of reparations and address Gukurahundi, allowing victims to speak.
In addition, the Newsroom Africa journalist said since he came to Bulawayo, she can say that the environment is relaxed as she manage to work freely, speaking to people across without any repressive experiences.
Hence she can say the country has the freedom of press.
