ZIMRA has released a Public Notice 45 of 2023 Clearance process for returning residents from South Africa (ZEP holders) under the flexible customs administration mechanism.
The notice states that the South African government has announced that Zimbabwe Exemption Permits (ZEP) wi expire and will not be renewed.
Also, Zimbabwean nationals who hold ZEPs must secure a different Visa by 31 December 2023 in order to stay in South Africa legally unless extended.
