Gold dealer Ewan Macmillan has issued an apology for his role in the Al Jazeera gold mafia documentary series.

In a statement, Ewan said he embarrassed himself over statements he made “under the influence of alcohol” in Al Jazeera Gold Mafia expose.

“I would like to apologise to my family, friends, fellow Zimbabweans and to all those people offended by my behaviour and comments as shown in the recent Al Jazeera Gold Mafia series”, read the statement.

He added that his statements have caused harm to many including political leaders.
