South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa has been excluded from the 49th G7 summit to be held in Hiroshima, Japan.

The President of Comoros, who is the current chair of the African Union will attend the G7 plus meetings.

Last year in June, Ramaphosa attended the G7 summit in Germany, representing Africa at the talks.

Japan believes that South Africa can no longer speak for the continent on international affairs.
