Former foreign Minister of Zambia, Harry Kalaba has shared his thoughts about Aljazera Gold Mafia documentary.

In an interview yesterday, Kalaba came to the defence of President Emmerson Mnangagwa and ambassador Uebert Angel who are being implicated in gold smuggling and money laundering.

Kalaba said diplomats need to go beyond call of duty to convince investors that their can give them the needed environment for business to thrive.

He also claimed that sanctions have hindered Zimbabwe from doing business with other nations, hence Angel had to find alternative means to escape sanctions.

In the Aljazeera Gold Mafia explosive, Angel claimed they were trying to lure investors and combat sanctions.

Hon Kabala said that the video is a non event as what is being said is expected from any diplomat.
