Citizen Coalition for Change spokesperson Fadzayi Mahere has been convicted and fined US$500 for communicating false information to the state and law enforcement.
Mahere posted that a policeman beat to death a baby that was strapped on its mother’s back.
Mahere was facing a 20-year jail term after a Harare magistrate found her guilty of publishing falsehoods.
