A 12-year old boy, Wayne Mugaure was electrocuted on Saturday after he touched the metal body of an electric swing at the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show Luna Park, Harare
Police confirmed the tragedy in a statement released via their Twitter handle.
“The ZRP reports a sad incident in which a 12 year old boy was electrocuted after he touched the metal body of an electric swing known as paratrooper on 03/09/22 at Zimbabwe Agricultural Show Luna Park, Harare.
“The victim died upon arrival at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals Investigations are in progress,” police said via the organisation’s Twitter handle Sunday
Zimbabwean born British scientist Hillary Musarurwa said Mugaure slipped from a jumping castle and fell onto naked eletrical wires.
Mugaure was a student at Alfred Beit School in Harare.
